Coach Polking speaks out after CAHN's defeat against Hanoi

Coach Alexandre Polking expressed regret after CAHN's unbeaten streak concluded with a 1-2 defeat against Hanoi in Round 15 of the V-League.

The Capital derby between CAHN Club and Hanoi FC in Round 15 of the V-League unfolded at a high tempo from the opening minutes. Both teams proactively pushed forward their formations and were ready to engage in open play. The midfield continuously witnessed fierce contests as both sides sought to control the game in this highly competitive match.

CAHN exerted clearer pressure for most of the first half. Rapid attacks on the left flank by Dinh Bac repeatedly forced Hanoi FC's defense into difficult situations. However, finishing attempts by Dinh Bac, Leo Artur, or Pendant Quang Vinh lacked sufficient precision to overcome goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan.

While being pressed, Hanoi FC surprisingly became the team to open the scoring. In the 27th minute, exploiting a gap in CAHN's defense, Do Hoang Hen unleashed a beautiful shot from outside the penalty area. The ball flew straight into the top corner of the goal, allowing the home team to take a 1-0 lead and establish a crucial advantage before the break.

Entering the second half, CAHN pushed their formation higher to seek an equalizer. However, before they could penetrate the opponent's defense, the visiting team conceded another goal. In the 74th minute, following a foul by Filip Nguyen on David Fisher inside the penalty area, the referee awarded Hanoi FC a penalty. From the 11-meter spot, Do Hoang Hen calmly completed his brace, raising the score to 2-0.

CAHN's late efforts only helped them reduce the deficit during stoppage time. VAR confirmed a foul on a visiting player inside the penalty area, and Leo Artur successfully executed the penalty, sealing the 1-2 defeat. After the match, Coach Alexandre Polking acknowledged his disappointment: "In football, nothing can be predicted. I am not satisfied that our unbeaten streak has ended. Today the players put in great effort, but we must accept this result."

Nevertheless, the defeat in the Capital derby also serves as a warning for CAHN to review issues in finishing and attacking organization. Coach Polking's team still has many objectives ahead in the V-League, and quickly stabilizing morale after this loss will play a crucial role in the race for the remainder of the season.
