Arteta receives a new blow, Arsenal's dream of winning four trophies falters

Arsenal encountered another injury worry when striker Leandro Trossard was forced to exit the game against Mansfield Town in the FA Cup fifth round on March 7 (Vietnam time).

Manager Mikel Arteta witnessed the Belgian player showing pain in his upper left thigh and moving with difficulty before being substituted. Trossard eventually fell on the pitch in the 38th minute at One Call Stadium and received medical attention before the coaching staff decided to withdraw him, bringing in Piero Hincapie as a replacement.

After this change, Arsenal switched to a four-defender formation. Previously, the London team started the match with Gabriel Martinelli and Noni Madueke playing as wing-backs, while Christian Norgaard took on the anchor role in midfield.

Leandro Trossard had to leave the pitch to give way to Piero Hincapie in the 38th minute due to injury.

Following the tactical adjustment, Riccardo Calafiori was moved to play as left defender, while Hincapie paired with Cristhian Mosquera as central defenders. On the opposite flank, 16-year-old talent Marli Salmon was given the opportunity to play.

Just minutes after Trossard left the field, Arsenal scored the opening goal. Noni Madueke unleashed a one-touch left-footed shot from outside the penalty area to put "The Gunners" ahead.

Nevertheless, the first half was not easy for Arteta's squad as Mansfield Town created several dangerous opportunities. Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga made many crucial saves, while Mosquera also executed a decisive block to prevent the home team from scoring before Madueke's goal.

The loss of Trossard is considered a significant setback for Arsenal, given they have a series of important matches this month before entering the final national team gathering of the season, including the EFL Cup final against Manchester City.

Prior to that, the North London representative also faces Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League round of 16, with Arteta hoping center-back William Saliba can return in time for the away leg in Germany.

Saliba was absent from the win against Brighton & Hove Albion after suffering an ankle sprain in the victory over Chelsea last weekend. The French defender has also missed some matches this season due to similar issues.

When asked whether it was the same ankle that had previously been problematic, Arteta replied: "No, this time it's the other ankle. After the match, we thought so too. He didn't feel comfortable enough to continue playing, and after leaving the pitch, the feeling wasn't good. We'll wait to see if he can recover quickly."
